About Mike
Born and raised in Margate City, New Jersey, Mike Richmond was first exposed to building as a Stockton College student. His interest in working in construction continued to develop over a 5-year project in Reading, Pennsylvania building a health and fitness center. In 1994, Mike moved back to Margate and partnered with his brother to open Richmond Brothers Builders. In 2012, Mike was ready to grow the business. With the help of his foreman of more than 15 years, Mike Rundio, he established his own company now known as Mike Richmond Builder LLC.
Now, Mike is helping to maintain continuity, durability, and beautification among homes in the South Jersey communities. He continues to reside in Margate in company of his wife and two daughters. Mike’s experience in the area has allowed him to harbor good working relationships with local architects and building departments, a long list of loyal clients and families, and an impressive cache of knowledge and pride for the community.
Whether building a vacation home or year-round residence, Mike says his, “number one goal is to keep the customer happy.” He focuses on building a trusting relationship with his clients, which often goes beyond the completion of the project, and finds importance in reaching concrete results while considering the client’s timeline and budget.
